From Episode #2, Max is shown driving up to CONTROL headquarters in his iconic red Sunbeam Tiger, replacing the Ferrari seen in the pilot. The famous hall of doors sequence was devised by Leonard Stern who had the foresight to shoot it in color even though the pilot was in black and white.
