Max, 99 and the Chief as they appear in a panel from issue #52.

From January 1966 to December 1967, a Get Smart comic strip was published in the TV Century 21 comic magazine.

The series was drawn by Bruno Marraffa and comprised sixteen distinct stories divided into 102 strips.

A quirk of the series is that Smart is almost invariably referred to as "Maxie." However, apart from this, and a tendency to lapse into what might be called "British English," the characterizations hew fairly closely to those in the TV show.

The entire run of the magazine can be read online at ZipComic.Com.
