KAOS agent and Siegfried's assistant at the KAOS Training School where Maxwell Smart is taken when he pretends to defect.

Hans especially enjoys playing the victim in demonstrations of the torture rack at the school. It also has practical advantages. Hans is 6'4" tall. When he first joined KAOS, he was only 5'9".

On a later occasion an agent Hans is placed in Max's apartment as part of Siegfried's attempts to kidnap entertainer Ozark Annie, although it is not explicitly stated that this is the same man.
