League of Bald-Headed Men members include Winters and Sommers who plan to steal the famed Morris Diamond from Spiegle's Jewelry Store and transport it out of the country via the League's distribution center at a Washington bowling alley. However, Maxwell Smart, shopping for an engagement ring for his fiancée 99, arrives at the store while the robbery is in progress, alerting CONTROL to the plot. Winters and Sommers, and a number of other League members, are eventually arrested at the bowling alley, all with stolen gems hidden under their toupees.
