Otto Von Werner

KAOS agent who claims to be Swiss despite having a heavy German accent. As proof he offers an allegedly self-designed cuckoo clock with a figure of Adolf Hitler instead of a cuckoo.

Von Werner is murdered by Milton Conrad with poisoned tea to prevent him from defecting to British agent Colonel Roger Forsythe.

Reality Check: The name "Von Werner" recalls the German-born U.S. rocket scientist Wernher von Braun. Compare with the character Professor Wormser von BOOM from Novel #7: "Max Smart - The Spy Who Went Out to the Cold".
