A telephone which forms part of a painting on the wall in the bedroom in Maxwell Smart's apartment.
The painting is a portrait of a woman (who looks remarkably like Agent 99) seated by a side-table bearing a telephone. In fact, the telephone is real and can be plucked out of the picture for conversational purposes.
